Welcome to the official website of the International Alliance for Invitational Education® (IAIE). Your interest in our organization is important to us. I invite you to learn who we are, what we do, and how you can join and actively participate in our alliance. IAIE is an international association, comprised of educators, healthcare professionals, counselors, and other helping professionals whose common interest is in developing and promoting the theory and practice of Invitational Education® (I.E.). This approach consists of a unique set of fundamental principles, levels of functioning and communicating, and other distinct concepts to help people, organizations, and institutions create positive relationships in their professional and personal lives. Invitational Education® is founded on concepts and research primarily from two schools of thought self-concept theory and perceptual psychology. Information on this website will provide you with more insight into I.E., its foundation and philosophy. You will also find books, DVDs, and other products about Invitational Education®, its beliefs, structures, and processes, that you may wish to purchase from our Clearinghouse. The International Alliance for Invitational Education® sponsors workshops and conferences throughout the world with major gatherings at a World Conference held every other year in some part of the globe. We have members and institutional members throughout the world, and our largest International Center, at this time, is in Hong Kong. IAIE has members in many other countries including Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Hungary, South Africa, Thailand, and others. We hope to expand membership and International Centers to encourage more people, professionals, and institutions to adopt the principles and practices of Invitational Education®.
